Here is the first round of the first tournament. Single elimination.
Here are the rules:
1. Assume both immortals have every intention of killing each other, even if they're friends in the story line.
2. Assume we're going by tv rules (stab to the heart and the immortal will "die" and come back after a while vs. movie where they never die).
3. No guns
4. D'Estaing is allowed his poison, Methos his hidden dagger in the boot.
4. No mystical abilities (Cassanda and Roland Kantos do not get their magical voices for example).
5. Matches were drawn at random.
Can't think of any other rules.
1ST ROUND:
1.
Claudia Jardine vs. Connor MacLeod
2.
Carter Wellan vs. Darius
3.
Carlos (Endgame) vs. David Keogh

Interesting fight, Darius has been out of the Game for a long time but Carter Wellan isn't great at all. I think the old warlord could have a few tricks that result in the demise of leatherboy. Winner: Darius.
3.Carlos (Endgame) vs. David Keogh: David Keogh is probably the better fighter of the two but Carlos would just shoot him and take Davids head if he thought his claw and sword combo wouldn't be enough. Winner: Carlos.
4.Cassandra vs. Damon Case:
Cassandra has the voice and powers of illusion. Damon Case could have the single mindedness and necessary restraint to counter it. If it comes to a fight Damon Case will win.
Winner: Damon Case.

Ward, you're reminding me of some of the old rules I used to have. 1) no guns. 2) no magical powers (ie voice or power of illisuion, etc.)Comment

No guns? A decent rule to have, I can live with that.
Are you going to rule out other dirty tricks as well? (poisons, hidden blades, etc.)
Without their MO, quite a few immortals would be demoted to the rank of cannon fodder instantly...May flights of Demons guide you to your final rest...Comment

Hidden blades are fine, I may allow Morgan D'Estaing to have a poisoned blade, but the idea is generally who was the better fighter? So I want to eliminate magical stuff otherwise Roland Kantos is basically in the top 10 and he stinks without his voice.Originally posted by Nicholas Ward View Post

1.
Claudia Jardine vs. Connor MacLeod
Yeah, this won't like 15 seconds if Connor doesn't want it to. VOTE: Connor
2.
Carter Wellan vs. Darius
Probably the most interesting contest of the group. Wellan is actually, I think, probably a more skilled fighter than he came across in his duel with Richie as I don't think he was prepared for it nor the style in which Richie used. That being said, Darius's skills, while likely a bit outdated, would still be enough to take Carter. I feel like Darius probably has a very strong grasp of the basics of swordsmanship and as a tactician is likely to discover Wellan's flaws and take him out. VOTE: Darius
3.
Carlos (Endgame) vs. David Keogh
Keogh is far from skilled. Far from it. He's poor but I don't get the impression Carlos really has any skills either. I feel like this would be a sloppy fight with Keogh using some dumb pet trick to get the win over Carlos. VOTE: Keogh
4.
Cassandra vs. Damon Case
Cassandra, I feel, has enough skill to get herself by. I don't think she's a good sword fighter but I don't think she's dreadful either. She would have to be at least passable to have lasted as long as she has as she's several thousand years old. That being said, Case is a head hunter. Fighting is all he does and while he's not as old as Cassandra he's not a baby either. I feel like would take this. VOTE: Damon CaseComment
